Car seized for driver who 'forgot' to renew insurance since last September

A driver in Co Westmeath who had 'forgotten' to renew their insurance since last September has had their car seized.

The driver was intercepted by Gardai in Delvin last night.

"Gardaí from our Roads Policing Unit in Delvin were testing their latest ANPR technology when they intercepted this motorist last night. No tax or insurance since last September, as the driver had 'forgotten' to renew it," they said on Twitter.

"The car was seized and court is to follow for the driver."
