Man arrested following €621k drug seizure at Dublin Airport

The man was arrested following the discovery and seizure of 30kg of cannabis by Revenue officers in Dublin Airport

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30’s following a €612,000 cannabis seizure made by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport on Wednesday February 28.

Approximately 30 kg of herbal cannabis was discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight.

The man in his 30s was arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a garda station in Dublin.

He has since been charged and appeared before the CCJ Dublin this morning, Thursday February 29.

Investigations are ongoing.
