The Joe Duffy Liveline Show has performed something of a miracle by reuniting a family with a lost violin, which had been left outside Heuston Station last month.
Patricia rang the show to request help to find the violin. She explained that one of her sons had worked and saved up all over the summer holidays to buy the bow for his brother. The violin had been bought by her late husband for their son.
She promised to give a "good reward" to anyone who could help reunite them with the violin.
Some time later a man named Ian came forward to say he had the violin. He remembered the woman's son and had been keeping the musical instrument safe.
"Joe, you're a national treasure," Patricia gushed.
However, Joe said it was Ian and Patricia who are are the national treasures.
