Winner still unknown as Irish shop celebrates selling life-changing Lotto ticket worth €3.5m

Staff at Arthur’s XL store on the Newry Road in Dundalk, Co. Louth were delighted to be celebrating a huge Lotto win for their store after they sold the winning €3,523,021 jackpot ticket

It was a day for champagne celebrations in the Wee County as Arthur’s XL Shop on the Newry Road in Dundalk was revealed as the selling location for Wednesday’s jackpot winning ticket worth an astonishing €3,523,021.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday 14th February draw were 01, 05, 10, 15, 44, 47 and the bonus was 45.

Brian Duffy, who owns the store with his wife Clodagh, was thrilled to hear the news so soon after selling another large prize: "Two months with two big wins for our customers! Back in January, we sold an All Cash Platinum scratch card with a €75,000 prize and now the winning has gotten even bigger for February. We are delighted for the winner – imagine checking your ticket to see it’s worth over €3.5 million.

"Myself and my wife took over the shop back in December 2021 from my wife’s father so this has been our biggest win since then. There is sure to be lots of excitement in-store as the news spreads and of course around the town as well.

"We have a real mix of locals who come into us daily as well as passing trade from far and wide as we are located not too far from the border. The winner really could be anywhere, so we wish them all the very best with their huge win."

Lotto players in Louth are now being urged to check their tickets carefully for last night’s draw as one player now has a ticket worth a life-changing amount.

Wednesday’s jackpot winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe.

They should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their €3.5 million prize.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "It might be known as the Wee County but the celebrations are certain to be huge this week in Louth with a Lotto player bagging themselves over €3.5 million in Wednesday night’s draw.

"The midweek multi-millionaire has officially taken the title of 2nd Lotto jackpot winner of 2024 as well as the 5th National Lottery millionaire of the year to date.

"We are encouraging all of our players who purchased their tickets in Louth to carefully check their tickets today as one player has a prize worth €3,523,021 waiting for them.

"The first thing the jackpot winner should do is the sign the back of their ticket and then make contact with our prize claims team who will make arrangements for Ireland’s newest millionaire to visit Lotto HQ to collect their life-changing prize.”
