Valentine’s Day jackpot worth over €3.5 million scooped up by lucky love bird

Lotto players urged to check their tickets from Wednesday night’s draw

National: One lucky love bird scoops Valentine’s Day jackpot worth over €3.5 million

A Louth Lotto player had a Valentine’s Day to remember after becoming Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire following the midweek draw.

The Wee County player scooped the €3,523,021 jackpot in Wednesday’s draw taking the title of second Lotto jackpot of the year to date.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning store location will be revealed tomorrow, Friday 16th February.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday 14th February draw were 01, 05, 10, 15, 44, 47 and the bonus was 45.

Lotto players in Louth are now being urged to check their tickets carefully for last night’s draw as one player now has a ticket worth a life-changing amount.

Wednesday’s jackpot winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe.

They should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their €3.5 million prize.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “It might be known as the Wee County but the celebrations are certain to be huge this week in Louth with a Lotto player bagging themselves over €3.5 million in Wednesday night’s draw.

"The midweek multi-millionaire has officially taken the title of 2nd Lotto jackpot winner of 2024 as well as the 5th National Lottery millionaire of the year to date.

"We are encouraging all of our players who purchased their tickets in Louth to carefully check their tickets today as one player has a prize worth €3,523,021 waiting for them.

“The first thing the jackpot winner should do is the sign the back of their ticket and then make contact with our prize claims team who will make arrangements for Ireland’s newest millionaire to visit Lotto HQ to collect their life-changing prize.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.

In total, more than €6 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago.

In 2022 alone, €259.5 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
