Bank holiday sees three motorists arrested and nine vehicles seized

Gardaí have arrested three drivers and seized nine vehicles at a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing (MIT) checkpoint in Dublin.

The operation, carried out in Ashtown in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR), yielded significant results with three motorists arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and nine vehicles impounded for various infractions.

These infractions included a combination of offenses, including lack of insurance, tax, and NCT. 

The owners of the impounded vehicles will face legal consequences, including fines and penalties. Additionally, court proceedings will be initiated against the three individuals arrested for DUI.
