Gardaí have this Sunday, arrested two males, aged in their 20s and 30s, on suspicion of murdering Kieran Quilligan.
Both males are remanded in custody and detained pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Cork City.
Mr Quilligan was reported missing from his home in Cork City Centre since Friday, September 1, 2023.
His remains were found in Rostellan, Cork, this Monday and a post-mortem examination then formally identified him.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who has any information on the murder of Kieran Quilligan to contact Bridewell Garda Station on (021) 494 3330, the Garda Confidential Line on (1800) 666 111 or any Garda Station.
