National: Man to appear in court following double murder at restaurant on Christmas Eve

The suspect is set to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this Thursday

Gardaí have confirmed that a male suspect arrested in connection with the serious incident at a premises on Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, on December 24, 2023, has been formally charged.

The suspect is set to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this Thursday, January 18, at 10:30am.

This charge comes as part of an investigation into a violent incident at a restaurant in Dublin on Christmas Eve, in which two people died.

A major garda investigation has been underway since the incident that occurred at a premises at Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 at around 8pm on December 24.

One of the men died from gunshot wounds while the second sustained serious stab wounds.
