Anne Connors has been located 'safe and well'

A teenage girl who was the focus of a missing persons appeal has been located 'safe and well', gardai have confirmed.

Members of the public had been asked for their assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 17-year-old Anne Connors who was reported missing from Drogheda, County Louth last Sunday evening.

In an update, issued this Wednesday, gardai confirmed she has now been located.

"Anne Connors has been located safe and well. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," said a spokesperson.

No information has been disclosed publicly as to the circumstances which resulted in Anne being located.
