Rail services at a standstill on main commuter route after 'tragic incident'

Iarnród Éireann have advised customers that the line remains closed between Drogheda and Balbriggan after a 'tragic incident.'

In a statement on X, Iarnród Éireann said:"Services remain suspended between Drogheda and Balbriggan until further notice due to a tragic incident on the line."

Services are operating between Connolly and Balbriggan.

Bus transfers are in operation between Drogheda and Balbriggan.

Iarnród Éireann have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
