National: Lotto winner at risk of losing their fortune as thousands still unclaimed

LOTTO enthusiasts are being urged to scour their homes, pockets, and purses as the clock ticks down for a lucky winner who has just one week left to claim a €24,224 prize from the October 7 draw.

The National Lottery have renewed their call for players to check their tickets and ensure they don't miss out on the substantial windfall.

The prize, a Match 5+Bonus award totaling €48,448, was shared between a Galway player and another individual from Dublin. The Galway winner purchased their quick pick ticket on the day of the draw at Desmond Salmon on Patrick Street in Portumna.

The winning numbers from the October 7th draw were 23, 25, 28, 32, 33, 44, with a bonus number of 29.

With a 90-day window for claiming prizes, time is running out for the fortunate Galway ticketholder. The deadline for claiming this Match 5+Bonus prize is set for close of business on Friday, January 5, 2024.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery stressed the urgency of the situation, emphasizing that the winner should act promptly.

The spokesperson urged the Galway winner to sign the back of the ticket, currently valued at €24,224, and reach out to the prize claims team via phone at 1800 666 222 or email at claims@lottery.ie.
