A ROUTINE patrol by the Dublin Metropolitan Region Roads Policing Unit on the M50 led to the arrest of a taxi driver who was found to be driving in violation of a penalty points disqualification.
The gardaí utilised their Active Mobility Device during the routine M50 patrol, which unveiled the driver's disqualification status.
Upon this revelation, they promptly impounded the vehicle and took the driver into custody.
According to a tweet from An Garda Síochána, the driver was not only in breach of the penalty points disqualification but also faced additional legal consequences.

The impounded vehicle is now under the custody of law enforcement, and the arrested driver will face legal proceedings for the violation.
