THE PRESIDENT of Ireland has received an honorary award in memory of his late dog, Bród.
President Higgins received an Honorary Golden Paw Award from Dermot Alford, Pat O'Boyle and Paul Lawless of Irish Kennel Club.
The award was awarded in the memory of Bród, the President's Bernese Mountain Dog who died aged 11 in April.
The Golden Paw Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 18 in the Clayton Dublin Airport Hotel.
