IT IS evidently clear what head coach Andy Farrell is thinking about after his side smashed Scotland in their last pool game of the World Cup tournament.
Farrell stated after the game that "It's finals from here on out and we have earned the right to play an incredible side in New Zealand in the quarter-final."
Once again Irish fans came out in their thousands to support their side and Farrell said it is a huge mental boost for the squad.
"I showed the guys my father on his 80th birthday when he was crying in the stands, just before the game and it just means so much to us. We got a bit of stick a few weeks ago for thanking our fans and going around the pitch after the game, but when they turn up in their droves it is the least we can do."
Ireland now face one of their biggest tasks to date and the head coach is convinced that Ireland don't even know their "own potential."
"Next week is a huge huge game, that's where you want to be, if you can't get excited about that then you may as well not even show up."
