Man found dead at Limerick city car park

A man aged in his 40s has been found dead at a car park in Limerick city.

The discovery was made at Steamboat Quay Car Park at around 5am on Friday morning, Gardai said.

The man’s body remains at the scene, which has been preserved to allow for a forensic and technical examination.

Gardai are investigating all circumstances around the death of the man.

A post-mortem examination is due be conducted and will determine the course of the investigation.

An appeal for witnesses has been issued to those who were in the area at the time.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Steamboat Quay, Dock Road, between 4am and 6am is asked to contact Gardai.
