ALERT: Major safety issue found in faulty hair styling tools sold to Irish consumers

An Irish consumer group has warned against the use of three hair styling tools sold on the Amazon platform. 

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), a risk of electric shock was identified in the following products: 

• VinBee Travel Mini Hair Flat Iron Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Straightener (ASIN number B09V13FGT7, model number ST-002) 

There are approximately 3 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

• Professional Straightening with LCD Digital Display (ASIN number B09DSHFSKK, model number KS-S186) 

 There are approximately 69 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. 

• DSHOW Hair Crimper Hair Waver Hair Straightener Curling Iron (ASIN number B071JNLNPB, model number HL-066) 

There are approximately 113 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. 

None of the three products comply with the requirements of the relevant safety standards. 

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately.
