CELEBRATIONS are sure to be underway in County Louth after a player became the 21st National Lottery millionaire of 2023.
The Dundalk winner bagged a Lotto Jackpot worth €2,418,002 in Saturday night’s draw making them the eighth Lotto jackpot winner so far this year.
The winning numbers for Saturday night’s Lotto draw were: 12, 26, 28, 34, 42, 45 and the bonus was 14
The National Lottery has now confirmed that the winning ticket was sold at the Tesco store in the Longwalk Shopping Centre in Dundalk town.
Last Saturday’s Lotto draw saw over 83,000 players win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus games.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “It’s been a life-changing weekend for a Louth Lotto player who now has a ticket worth over €2.4 million.

“Ireland’s newest millionaire has officially become the 21st National Lottery millionaire of 2023.
The National Lottery has confirmed the winner has made contact and arrangements are now being made for them to collect their life-changing prize.
Officials from the National Lottery will visit the winning store this Tuesday where there will be big celebrations and plenty of champagne corks being popped.
This is the second big Lotto win for the town in a year with Sloane's newsagents, on Avenue Road in Dundalk selling a Lotto Plus 1 winning ticket worth €1,000,000 last September to an anonymous local winner.
This latest win is also the third time the Lotto Jackpot has been scooped in just four weeks following wins in Balbriggan, Dublin on July 8 when a player won €3,931,066 and Donegal and Westmeath where two players shared the jackpot to take home €6,373,878 each in the draw on Saturday, June 17.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago
In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
