Limerick DiverCity 2014, a multicultural celebration of diversity and community spirit, will take place at LIT on Tuesday, April 8, with a day of rich cultural performances for all the family, along with food and music.
Hundreds of participants are expected fill LIT’s Aula Maxima from 3pm-6pm. There will also be activities for children in the form of face painting, henna tattoo and workshops, along with a children’s art competition.
There will be various artistic performances with origins in Brazil, China, Nepal, India, Poland, Latvia, Russia and more, and well known local artist Jean Ryan will run an exhibition. Other attractions include food stands from many nationalities.
Limerick DiverCity is presented by Limerick Institute of Technology second year LIT students in support of Doras Luimni, along with and partners from a variety of Limerick-based organizations and businesses. All funds raised will support the Doras Luimni organisation.
