FAITHLESS performed at Troy Studios on Friday, June 6
A RECENT sell-out show in Limerick could be the beginning of a new concert space being host to a number of large-scale events right here in the Treaty City.
A brand new 3,000 capacity concert and event space in Troy Studios held a successful opening event at the start of the month as the space hosted the electronic pioneers FAITHLESS.
Troy Studios is the largest studio facility in Ireland, with well-known titles on streaming platforms such as Apple TV and Netflix filmed in the studios.
Chart-topping dance music band FAITHLESS took to the stage and transformed studio D into “a cathedral of sound and light”, as “a new era for live music in the region began”.
The sold out concert demonstrated the potential for this space, just one of four sound stages in the 350,000 square foot studio space in Castletroy.

Local promoters CWB and Troy Film Studios celebrated the success of the inaugural event after a sellout crowd experienced one of the biggest acts in the world warm-up for their European Tour with an epic show and a level of sound and lighting production not seen before outside of Dublin.
Paul Boland of CWB said “ We are delighted with how this show with FAITHLESS went, and to have access to the Troy space for live shows, we are looking forward to bringing acts to the Midwest that haven’t had the right venue to perform in up to now”
“It’s great to have Troy being used for live shows, last weekend’s event co-existed happily with the Wayfinder shoot on other sound stages and we look forward to working with CWB to explore more potential events “ said Mike Boland, GM at Troy Studios.
Using local suppliers and staff, the event proved a boom to the city on the night before the Munster Final with many pubs hosting pre and post events, a fact lauded by Limerick City and County Council Night Time Economy Adviser, Craig Power “The first live show at Troy Studios was a great success and we would be really supportive of a year round concert venue of this scale, well done to all at CWB and Troy Studios for having the vision and expertise to get this moving”
Details of further live events at Troy Studios will be announced in coming months.
