CARLSBERG don’t do gigs, but...no wait, they do.
The beer company have sponsored a Big Music Weekend in one of our favourite pubs, the Greyhound in Kilkee, taking place this Friday and Saturday.
There is a smashing line-up too, with plenty of Limerick involvement for those interested in making the short trip to the picturesque West Clare village, long popular with holidaymakers from these parts.
The mini-festival kicks off on Friday night with London band Little Mammoths - featuring Matt “Urby Whale” Owens of Noah and the Whale fame - on their ‘Accidentally On Porpoise’ tour of Ireland.
Saturday boasts a double Limerick bill of singer songwriter Hannah O’Brien and six-piece city band Randolf & The Crokers supporting Natty Wailer, who toured and recorded with Bob Marley and the Wailers for nearly a decade and played a super gig in the bar over the summer.
Entry to both nights is free. Enjoy!
