THE Kilfenora Ceili Band return to Limerick’s Lime Tree theatre this Sunday for a much anticipated show.
The group, joined by their friends, singer/songwriter Don Stiffe, dancing masters, Michael Donnellan, Deirdra Kiely and the wonderful West Clare Set Dancers, bring their show Spraoi, celebrating Ireland’s year of the Gathering, to Limerick this weekend.
The band sold out a show in the Lime Tree last year and have proved popular with local audiences.
The show is an exciting celebration of Irish music song and dance from home and abroad. Last year saw the launch of their current album, aptly called Chapter 8, it being the eighth since the formation of the band way, way back in 1909.
Expect “fiery fiddles, pounding rhythms and flashing feet” at the show, which the Lime Tree management are “delighted” to be welcoming back to the 510 seater venue.
