THE Booka Brass Band are coming to Limerick for a much anticipated gig in support of the recent launch of their new EP.
The New Orleans style eight-piece brass band - a group of eight musicians that span the length and breadth of Ireland stretching from Belfast all the way to Cork - play Dolan’s Warehouse this Saturday night (doors at 9pm, tickets €10).
Formed in November 2012, since then they have quickly gone from strength to strength on the live music scene in Ireland, offering an incredible live energy that has seen them billed as among Ireland’s best live bands.
In the short time they have been together, the eight piece band have played shows at Electric Picnic, Glastonbury, main stage at Body and Soul and collaborated with artists like Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Paul Noonan and We Cut Corners.
The debut EP was released last month and they are touring this month to mark the release as they gear up for a summer of more festival shows across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Don’t miss out!
