THE very popular Cecilian Musical Society return with the world’s most loved musical show in the Lime Tree.
The long running society - on the go since 1919 - are back with Grease, which will see the award winning society hand jivin’ across the stage of the Lime Tree over four performances next week.
Featuring all the classic melodies, medleys and characters from the 1978 movie, the beloved rock ‘n roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars and first loves, all set in the fabulous fifties, will wow audiences in the 510 seater venue.
“This is a musical that we have all grown up with and we are all very excited to be involved in what promises to be a mammoth production,” says Cecilians’ chairperson Jamie Purcell.
“The cast, crew and committee have worked tirelessly alongside our production team of Barbara Meany, choreographer, producer Des Henn and Shane Farrell, musical director, to ensure that you have ‘got chills’ throughout the show.
“So come along and ‘lose control’ at what is ‘shaping up’ to being a fantastic production; ‘cause our hearts are set on seeing you there” he added.
Grease will run from Wednesday November 26 to Saturday November 29 in the Lime Tree Theatre at 8pm. See www.limetreetheatre.ie
