AFTER a show-stopping performance at Electric Picnic, electro-dance act Le Galaxie come to Limerick for a special one off show to help The Library celebrate a year in business this Friday night.

AFTER a show-stopping performance at Electric Picnic, electro-dance act Le Galaxie come to Limerick for a special one off show to help The Library celebrate a year in business this Friday night.

The quartet, who have steadily built a reputation as one of the best live dance acts in the country in recent years, zoom into the impressive Cornmarket Row venue (doors 9pm, tickets €8 in advance/€10 on the door) in advance of a UK tour as guests of Primal Scream and ahead of the release of their forthcoming album, from which they have unleashed a taster in two minute screamer Lucy Is Here in recent days.

Le Galaxie - who crowned a triumphant set at the Picnic by closing with the Jurassic Park theme tune - will be supported on Friday by legendary DJ Paul Webb, in the city to help The Library’s proprietors Paul O’Brien and Paudie McMahon mark a tremendous first year in business in the city.
