Munster Rugby set for Croke Park return in October

MUNSTER Rugby are set for a Croke Park BKT United Rugby Championship regular season return in October after holders Leinster confirmed that they will once again host their interprovincial rivals in a derby match at GAA headquarters on Saturday, October 18, 5.15pm.

Munster suffered a 26-12 defeat to Leinster in front of a then record 80468 attendance at Croke Park last season.

2023 URC winners Munster will begin their United Rugby Championship campaign for 2025/2026 with an away date against the Scarlets on Saturday, September 27 at 5.30pm.

Munster will then host Cardiff in their first home fixture of the season at Thomond Park on Saturday, October 4, 7.45pm.

Munster's first interprovincial fixture will be that away date with Leinster in Croke Park on October 18, before a home fixture against Connacht on Saturday, October 25 at Thomond Park, 7.45pm.

After the first five rounds of the URC, there will be a break ahead of the Autumn Series for Ireland against New Zealand, Japan, Australia and South Africa, before the URC resumes for Round 6 and a trip to Rodney Parade against Dragons RFC on Friday, 28 November.

Leinster Rugby confirmed that tickets for the Munster match will go on public sale on Friday, August 29, and before the public sale there will be a window for current Leinster Rugby Season Ticket holders to upgrade their tickets.
