Gardaí and fire brigade are on the scene in the Childers Road area of Limerick, between the Kilmallock Road Roundabout and Roxboro
GARDAÍ and the fire services are at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the outskirts of Limerick city.
The call came into emergency services during a hectic time for lunch hour traffic at 1.24pm.
Gardaí and three units of the Limerick City Fire Services all responded to the call and remained at the scene just after 2.15pm, while the road was being cleared.
A garda van was used to block the entrance at the Kilmallock Road Roundabout, so that traffic could not progress further up Childers Road towards Roxboro.
It is not known if any serious injuries were suffered.
