ALERT: Busy Limerick road closed due to multiple-vehicle collision
The road traffic incident occurred on the N21 on the approach to Adare
Motorists are being advised a section of the N21 Limerick to Kerry road is closed this Friday afternoon on the approach to Adare due to a road traffic incident.
The multiple-vehicle collision, understood to involve three cars, took place around 2.30pm.
It occurred before the roundabout where motorists continue straight for Adare or turn left in the direction of the Woodlands House Hotel.
It is understood, at this time, that none of the occupants have suffered serious injuries. Gardai, Limerick Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics with the National Ambulance Service have all responded to the scene.
There are always traffic delays through Adare approaching rush-hour but especially on Fridays before bank holiday weekends as people head to Kerry.
There are long traffic delays and motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
