'Two casualties' after car and truck crash in Limerick

THE R513 Limerick to Mitchestown road has re-opened to traffic following a collision this Tuesday evening.

Gardai and paramedics from the National Ambulance Service attended the scene of the collision involving a truck and car which happened at Kilteely Cross shortly after 5.40pm.

Two units of Limerick County Fire and Rescue from Kilmallock station were also dispatched after the alarm was raised.

Two people required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries following the collision while the road was closed for a number of hours given the amount of debris.

A garda spokesperson has confirmed the road has since re-opened and that an investigation is underway into the circumstances of the collision.
