L1212 Ballynoe Bridge in Kilmeedy closed from Nov 3rd –Dec 8th, diversions in place with local access where possible

ALERT: Motorists warned of five week bridge closure for emergency repair works in Limerick

Limerick City and County Council has announced that emergency bridge repairs will take place on the L1212 Ballynoe Bridge from Monday, November 3, to Monday, December 8, 2025.

The bridge will be impassable to all road users for the duration of the works, though local access will be facilitated where possible.

A signed diversion route will operate via the R519 and R520, starting at the L7009/L1304/R519 junction in Kilmeedy and ending at the R520/L1212 junction in Ballynoe.

The Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and is urging motorists to follow diversion signage and plan journeys accordingly.
