Commutors warned of spillage on Limerick motorway

Motorists on the M7 are being advised to excercise caution following a spillage

MOTORISTS are being warned of a spillage on the M7 motorway on the approach to Limerick city.

The alarm was raised shortly before 7am this Wednesday after authorities were alerted to the spillage between Junction 27 (Birdhill) and Junction 28 (Castletroy).

The nature of the spillage is not known and crews from Transport Infrastructure Ireland have been deployed to clear the road.

There are no reports of any accidents but motorists travelling on the M7 are being advised to excercise caution.

Separately, the scene of an earlier collison on the motorway near Junction 28 (Ballysimon) has been cleared.

That incident happened at around 6.15am.
