Emergency services deployed following Limerick road accident

The accident happened at Cregan's Cross on the N21

Emergency services are attending the scene of a road traffic accident on the N21 near Newcastle West.

The alarm was raised at around 6.15pm this Monday following an incident at Cregan’s Cross on the Limerick side of the town.

Gardai, paramedics from the National Ambulance Service and two units of Limerick Fire and Rescue from Newcastle West are in attendance.

There are reports of some traffic delays in the area as a result of what’s believed to have been a single vehicle accident.

It’s not known if anyone has been seriously injured.
