Roadworks result in gridlock for Limerick motorists

There are major traffic delays in the National Technolohgy Park

Roadworks and bad weather are being blamed for traffic gridlock on the outskirts of Limerick city this Tuesday evening.

Traffic in-and-around the National Technology Park in Castletroy is reportedly at a standstill with lengthy delays being reported by dozens of motorists.

According to AA Roadwatch the delays have been caused as a section of the Plassey Park Road is closed near the National Technology Park.

The nature of the works being carried out is not known.

There are no reports of any other incidents which may have impacted on traffic in the area.
