Gardai have cordoned off the scene in Castleconnell this Sunday for technical examination
A MAN has been seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run incident in a County Limerick village this Sunday, Limerick Live has learned.
The incident occurred in the SuperValu car park in Castleconnell shortly after noon. It is believed the injured party was on foot at the time of the collision which is understood to have involved a car.

It is reported locally that a silver BMW failed to remain at the scene and drove off at speed.
Gardai and paramedics with the National Ambulance Service responded to the scene. The man, believed to be from the locality, received emergency first aid in the car park.
The man, aged in his late 20s / early 30s, was rushed to University Hospital Limerick. His current condition is not known at this time.
