Gardaí are advising motorists to avoid the areas where possible
FOLLOWING multiple traffic collisions just outside Limerick city, gardaí are advising motorists of “major delays”.
A road traffic collision occurred at the main entrance of the University of Limerick this Thursday afternoon, September 26.
The collision took place on the outward-bound lane at the flag poles entrance/exit of UL.

Gardaí have also confirmed a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the N24 at Coolyhenan in the Ballysimon area at approximately 3:50pm this afternoon.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that “gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene”.
No serious injuries have been reported at this time.
In a traffic update on X, formerly known as Twitter, An Garda Síochána advised motorists of “major delays on the N24 just outside of Limerick city”.
“Motorists are advised to approach this area with caution and plan alternative routes if possible,” the post continued.
