A motorist who was travelling nearly twice the speed over the limit was caught and arrested by gardaí in Kildare.
A novice driver travelling at 141k/h on a 80k/h road was caught via garda speed check in North Kildare on the night of Monday, March 4.
The Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks in North Kildare when they detected this novice drive travelling at 141kpph in an 80kph area.

They were stopped and the driver was arrested.

The driver was stopped by the Naas road policing unit and was arrested by gardaí, who have said court is to follow.
