A learner driver who was stopped by gardaí now faces court due to driving a lorry with a dangerously defective trailer.
Gardaí stopped a truck driver in Drogheda, Co Louth who was an unaccompanied learner with no L-plates on the lorry.
As well as this, there was no tax, the driver was uninsured and the vehicle's trailer was found to be dangerously defective.
We carried out a checkpoint in Drogheda this morning when we stopped this lorry.
