Four gardaí hospitalised after road collision in Limerick

FOUR gardaí from the Limerick division have been hospitalised after being involved in a two-vehicle collision.

The collision occured on O'Connell Street in the city centre at approximately 6:15am this Tuesday morning.

It has been confirmed that an official garda vehicle was involved in the collision.

A statement by An Garda Síochána wrote: "Four members of An Garda Síochána received medical attention at University Hospital Limerick for injuries which are non-life threatening."

O'Connell Street is currently open for use, with no reports of delays.
