A FULL road closure is in place following a serious road collision in County Limerick this Monday morning.
The collision, involving a car and a van, happened at around 6.15am at Knocklong Road, Ballyanders.
Emergency services, including three units of Limerick Fire and and Rescue from Kilmallock and one unit from Mitchelstown fire station are in attendance along with paramedics from the National Ambulance Service.
Gardai have confirmed to Limerick Live there is a full road closure at the scene and that local diversions are in place.
The road is likely to remain closed for several hours.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the R513 Garryspillane to Ballylanders Road, this morning, Monday, January 9.
"The R513 is closed from Garryspillane village to Ballylanders village with local diversions in place. No further information is available at this time," said a garda spokesperson.
The extent of any injuries sustained in the collision is not yet clear.
