Man arrested by Limerick gardai following spate of burglaries

A MAN is being questioned by gardai in connection with a spate of burglaries in East Limerick.

A MAN is being questioned by gardai in connection with a spate of burglaries in East Limerick.

The 41-year-old, who is originally from Tallaght in Dublin, was arrested in Limerick city at lunchtime today during a planned operation involving detectives from Bruff garda station.

It is understood the man is being questioned in conneection with around a dozen burglaries - all of which took place in the Bruff garda district over the past three weeks.

He’s being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held without charge until tomorrow afternoon.
