Cyclist dies following Castletroy accident

A man in his 40s has died following an accident in Castletroy
THE cyclist who died in hospital following a collision between his bicycle and a car on the outskirts of Limerick on Wednesday afternoon has been named as Philip McCormack.

THE cyclist who died in hospital following a collision between his bicycle and a car on the outskirts of Limerick on Wednesday afternoon has been named as Philip McCormack.

Mr McCormack, who was in his 40s, was rushed to hospital following the accident, but died on Thursday. The accident happened at the Kilmurray roundabout in Castletroy at around 2pm on Wednesday.

Requiem Mass for Mr McCormack will be held at St John’s Cathedral on Monday at 12pm, burial afterwards at Mt St Oliver Cemetery. The body will be reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home this Sunday from 2.30pm until 4pm.
