In Pictures: Limerick's oldest town celebrates St Patrick's Day in style

THE LARGE crowds who attended this afternoon's St Patrick's Day parade in Askeaton were entertained by an array of colourful floats as well as community groups and organisations.

There an impressive presence from Limerick Fire and Rescue and representatives of several local sporting clubs also took the streets of the historic town.

There was live music from 1pm and the parade departed from the Church car park at 2.15pm.
