LIMERICK rugby star, Olympian and Love Island winner, Greg O’Shea, has announced his engagement to his long-term girlfriend Jeanni Mulder.

Greg got down on one knee and asked the all-important question on New Years Eve in Jeanni's native South Africa.

He posted a video of the romantic proposal on Instagram showing the couple both donning white attire and counting in the new year before Greg knelt on one knee with an engagement ring. Greg said it was a "special way to start the new year" and that he was the "most nervous" he's ever been.
