LIMERICK hurling star David Reidy has gotten engaged to girlfriend Aoife Ni Cheallaigh from Galway.

While Reidy impressed with Limerick senior hurlers through the 2024 championship season, Aoife Ní Cheallaigh, from Caltra, is an accomplished inter-county star in her own right lining out with the Galway Ladies Gaelic footballers.

Reidy played an impressive role in Limerick's march to an unprecedented sixth Munster senior hurling title in a row in June.

The ace attacker has also been in prolific scoring form for his club Dromin-Athlacca in their excellent start to the Limerick senior hurling championship.

Reidy will be in action for Dromin-Athlacca in their Group 2 Limerick senior hurling championship fixture with Kildimo-Pallaskenry at Newcastle West next Friday.
