Notice of changes to schedule for works on part of Limerick motorway

Resurfacing works began on the M20 from Junction 1 Limerick to west of Junction 5, Cork on Monday last

Resurfacing works on major Limerick road to last for up to 10 weeks

M20 westbound closure junction 4 (J4) to junction 5 (J5) beginning from August 12

Traffic has become more congested in Limerick city in recent days due to resurfacing works.

ON Monday last, the resurfacing of the M20 from Junction 1 Limerick to west of Junction 5, Cork, commenced for 10 weeks.

There are some changes to the proposed resurfacing program for the remainder of this week on the M20. Please see revised plan below:

Wednesday 14 - 8pm to 6am - Full Closure westbound from M20 J2 through to M20 J4 and Lane 1 closure for 3km from J4 WB On-Slip

Thursday 15 - 8pm to 6am - Full Closure westbound from M20 J3 through to M20 J5

Friday 16 - 8pm to 6am - Full Closure westbound from M20 J3 through to M20 J5

Next week remains as per the program, with the addition of an eastbound closure on Sunday 25th August, as per below:

Monday 19 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure westbound from M7 J30 through to M20 J3   

Tuesday 20 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure westbound from M7 J30 through to M20 J3

Wednesday 21 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure westbound from M7 J30 through to M20 J3 

Thursday 22 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure westbound from M7 J30 through to M20 J3

Friday 23 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure westbound from M7 J30 through to M20 J3

Sunday 25 - 8pm to 6am – Full Closure eastbound from M20 J5 to M20 J3

The work is being carried out by motorway maintenance group, Colas Joint Venture (CJV), and will be carried out at night between the hours of 8pm and 6am Monday through to Saturday morning, each week.
