Limerick man to face trial over drugs and weapons seizure

A 44-YEAR-OLD man is to face trial in the new year in connection with the alleged seizure of over €1 million worth of drugs.

A 44-YEAR-OLD man is to face trial in the new year in connection with the alleged seizure of over €1 million worth of drugs.

At Limerick Court, the book of evidence was served in the case of John Ryan, of Airmont Terrace, St Patrick’s Road.

He faces a number of drugs charges including possession of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis at Bellfield House, Ennis Road on May 14 this year.

Ryan is also charged with having the drugs for sale or supply. In addition, he is charged with possession of a Walther pistol and 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition on the same date.

Judge Eamon O’Brien was told that the DPP had consented to have Ryan sent forward for trail to the next sessions of Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.
