Woman arrested in connection with Southill murder

A WOMAN in her late 30s has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Jeffrey Hannon in Southill more than three years ago.

A WOMAN in her late 30s has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Jeffrey Hannon in Southill more than three years ago.

The woman, who was arrested this afternoon, is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The body of Jeffrey Hannan,19, was found near his home at O’Malley Park, Southill on November 22, 2007. He had sustained a number of injuries to his body and had suffered head injuries.

To date, 18 people have been arrested as part of the murder investigation.
