SSE RENEWABLES have announced a donation of up to €200,000 to 82 community groups across the Limerick and Kerry region.
These funds, generated through the wind farm community initiatives in these regions, have had a transformative impact on schools, sports clubs, and community centres.
The Limerick and North Kerry Community Fund, acting as the custodian of these wind-powered donations, has distributed over €199,000 to these 82 community groups, igniting a ray of hope in the regions.
Wind farms in West Limerick, including Tournafulla, and Athea, alongside the Lenamore wind farm in North Kerry, have collectively fuelled this remarkable support.
