INDIE-folk band KingFishr have announced they will go on their first ever Irish tour this October.
As part of their tour, The Prologue, the trio will make a stop in Limerick, on Friday, October 13.
Announcing the news on social media, the three lads said: "We're doing our first ever Irish tour, excited isn't even the word. Tickets on sale Wednesday @ 10 am."
After meeting in UL while studying engineering, Edmond ‘Eddie’ Keogh, Eoghan ‘McGoo’ McGrath and Eoin ‘Fitz’ Fitzgibbon, collided in an “attempt to disassemble the contemporary Irish experience.”
In less than a year, the band has been making waves in the indie folk scene, booking date after date and performing alongside well-known artists such as George Ezra and Dermot Kennedy.
This weekend, they will be joining rock legend Bruce Springsteen at his BST Hyde Park gig, on Saturday, July 8. And on Sunday, they will be opening for Dermot Kennedy for one of his Thomond Park dates.
This October, Kingfishr will play in Dolan’s. Tickets will be available this Wednesday, July 5 via dolans.ie
