AN intensive Garda investigation has been mounted to catch the gang who broke into a filling station shop in Glin in County Limerick and got away with an estimated €30,000 from the in-store ATM.

AN intensive Garda investigation has been mounted to catch the gang who broke into a filling station shop in Glin in County Limerick and got away with an estimated €30,000 from the in-store ATM.

The incident is understood to have occurred at Adams shop on the N69 earlier this week, sometime on Monday night or early on Tuesday morning.

The burglars climbed on to the roof of the shop and cut their way in through the roof. They then cut the phone line and also the some fibreoptic cable.

Some stock from the shop was also taken.

CCTV footage from the area has been retrieved and is being reviewed by Gardai who have appealed to the public to help them in their investigation. Anybody with any information can contact 069-20650.
