Residents evacuated from Limerick apartment complex following fire

Three units of Limerick Fire and Rescue attended the scene

A FIRE at an apartment complex in Limerick city centre has been brought under control by emergency services

Three units of Limerick Fire and Rescue from Limerick fire station, Mulgrave Street attended the scene at Mount Kennett, just off the Dock Road.

The alarm was raised just after 9pm this Tuesday and a number of residents were evacuated from their homes as a precaution.

The small fire was quickly brought under control and emergency services left the scene after just over an hour.

There are no reports of any injuries.
